WEYMOUTH'S sandy shores will once again be featured on national television to promote children's programmes.
Four CBeebies presenters were on the beach filming clips that will be shown every day over a four-month period.
Producer Angela Young said the seaside town was chosen for what it has to offer. She said: "Weymouth has a lot of flexibility when it comes to filming.
"There's the beach and the rock pools but there are also the rides and attractions.
"It's been fantastic filming down here and people have been very helpful to us."
CBeebies is the BBC's channel for pre-school children. It is on digital TV and on BBC 2 during the day.
Weymouth and Portland Borough Council's spokesman for leisure, tourism and community, Brendan Webster, said: "We were absolutely over the moon to have them here.
"It really brings Weymouth to a good mixture of age groups in terms of promotion."
