A Bromley resident has won second place in a nation-wide painting competition run by a nursing home group. David Adamson, 70,(left), who is a resident of Loraston House, Bickley Park Road, Bromley, run by Ashbourne Homes, won the prize with a picture of a maritime scene. The competition was judged by the regional managers of Ashbourne Homes who said of Mr Adamson's painting: “It is a vibrant picture of a racing yacht using great attention to detail. It expertly blends the blues of the sky with those of the sea.” Activity organiser Edith Hart said: “This is wonderful we are very proud. We like encouraging our residents to get involved in activities.”
