Bromley Lawn Tennis Club's annual championships produced some exciting finals.
First match on court was the ladies singles final between Sally Johnson, 10-times a winner of this title, and defending champion Rachel Payne.
And it proved to be eleventh heaven for Sally, who won a thrilling match 6-4, 7-5.
The mens' singles was won by club newcomer James Shirley, who convincingly defeated Nick Howitt 6-0, 6-3.
There was also a close game in the mens'doubles final, when Nick Howlett and David McSorley beat John Hobdell Colin Edmonton 6-4, 7-6, while in the mixed open final, Linda and David McSorley beat Monica Beswick and Earl Sibley.
Rachel Payne gained some compensation, and revenge, for her singles defeat, when she partnered Monica Beswick to victory over Sally Johnson and Linda McSorley in the doubles.
The junior boys' singles title was won by Ben Gillett, who beat Danny Attle, while Peter Foord and Peter Pharo defeated Charlie Baylis and Brian Moleshead in the men's veterans doubles final.
Monica Beswick made it a double triumph when she paried up with Peter Foord to beat Charlie Baylis and Sue Grimwood in the mixed veterans' doubles final.
