AN UNOFFICIAL footpath on Portland has been made official after years of use by residents.
The route at Weston between 47 Furlands and 55 Haylands was unanimously voted upon by county councillors to be officially mapped.
The vote came about after a member of Dorset County Council’s planning department spotted the anomaly on a map of the island.
