A FAIR is being held at Lulworth Castle on Thursday in aid of the British Red Cross.
The Country House Fair is being held from 10.30am to 4pm with 40 stalls selling such items as home and garden accessories, gifts, toys and food.
The cost is £3, which includes entry to the castle, chapel, adventure playground and animal farm. Entry for children is free. Proceeds from the fair will go towards a medical equipment vehicle for the Red Cross.
Sally Weld, who is vice president of the Dorset Red Cross, said: “In the past year we have raised £20,000 at the castle for the Red Cross and have already purchased a second ambulance.
“This year, we are aiming to build on last year’s success and raise much-needed funds for a medical equipment vehicle. This vehicle will enable the Red Cross to provide a timely response, delivering vital equipment to the homes of people with mobility difficulties.”
Dorset Red Cross president Isobel Smart added: “I am indebted to Mrs Weld for allowing us to use this magnificent venue yet again.”
