  • AVRIL Harcourt reports: How artistic and creative are our local residents! A group of us met at the village hall on October 18 instructed by Tania Cash from Rumplestilskin at Broadwindsor Craft Centre.

During the afternoon we each produced a silk bowl from a framework using silk fibres and adding our colours and patterns – some appropriately festive. The results were an amazingly diverse display! We made our own soap using natural ingredients and fragrances in a variety of different moulds from shells and hearts to pigs and fossils. The afternoon was rounded off by decorating Modge Podge candles in uniquely individual styles. We were able to take home the handmade crafts we’d had great fun making.

Many thanks to Clare Dean who organised the event and made not one but two delicious cakes to help us through the afternoon.
