The parish council had no observations to make on the provision of a double garage and living accommodation at 8 Martel Close, tree pruning at 21 Old Brickfields or development of land adjacent to Whitcombe Moneymusk Racing Stables.

Although not in Broadmayne parish, as the development is in an adjoining parish the council was consulted.

The council did not have any observations to make on the development but felt that the road and access to the A352 needed to be improved, enlarged and signed, and that all other existing planning permissions for development should be relinquished.

It was noted that the proposal to divert rights of way had been withdrawn.

The clerk now has the council’s laptop, printer and keyboard but the new e-mail address for the parish council is not yet operative.

It would like to continue on a month to month basis until it has found alternative premises.

The council agreed to this, that the whole of the premises should be advertised at an annual rental of £4,500 and authorised Michael Whistler, a member of the working party to be the contact for the letting.

A risk assessment check list was agreed with regard to the allotments.

Council agreed that any future tenants would be required to pay a deposit of £50, returnable when terminating the tenancy should the plot be left in good order and the amount would be used to put any plot not left in good order to be cleared and put into a fine seedbed standard.

The council also agreed the principle that should two existing tenants wish to move to a vacant plot, then the one with the longest tenancy would be successful.

The chairman had been in touch with the county council after a parishioner had slipped and had an accident on the moss on the pavement in Conway Drive.

2 members of the public were present during the democratic period and also Coun D Crowhurst.

He reported that he is actively pursuing the damage caused by contractors’ vehicles in Cowleaze Road, the felling of trees and the cutting of the grass verge to the 30 mph limit in Chalky Road.

He has no information yet on the Main Street scheme.
