Money left over from a breakfast club has been donated to Dorset charities.
More than £5,000 was handed over from the former West Dorset Breakfast Club which used to be held in the Junction Hotel in Dorchester.
A total of £3,000 went to the Weldmar Hospicecare Trust, £2,000 to Help for Heroes and the balance went to Weymouth Rotary Club.
The money was donated when the former club chairman Paul Kane contacted Sir Jim Spicer, who founded the club when he was MP for West Dorset.
