PUPILS at a Weymouth school are celebrating the results of an outstanding Ofsted report. An inspector praised Beechcroft St Paul’s Primary School’s outstanding efforts in taking care of pupils in all areas of teaching and learning.
He described the children as being ‘exceptionally respectful and polite’, and said their behaviour was excellent.
The report said: “Pupils thoroughly enjoy school, have a very good knowledge of how to keep healthy and safe, and are exceptionally keen to learn.”
The commitment of the headteacher, teachers and other adults in making the already successful school better, was also mentioned in the report.
Links to the local community were recognised as being excellent, and good links were said to have been established ‘globally.’ Headteacher Sarah Sprague said: “The governors, staff and pupils are delighted at the outcome of the recent Ofsted inspection.
“The inspection has recognised the outstanding provision offered in all areas of school life at Beechcroft St Paul’s.
“The report reflects the hard work and dedication of all involved at this school and rightly celebrates the developments, improvements and achievements of the last three years.
“I feel that the report truly reflects the heart of Beechcroft, a school that insures that every child is cared for and supported academically, socially and emotionally.”
She added: “As the report clearly outlines, pupils grow through its Christian ethos, into confident, caring young people.”
