New equipment on shopping list for schools

SUPERMARKET staff and shoppers have helped Dorchester schools to stack up piles of equipment for the classroom.

Town schools will benefit from this year’s Tesco for Schools and Clubs scheme which will allow them to buy any type of classroom or outdoors equipment from a catalogue.

The lucky recipients include Cheselbourne School, Dorchester Middle School and St Mary’s First School.

Vouchers were collected by customers at Tesco’s Dorchester store between March and June. West Dorset MP Oliver Letwin visited the store along with school pupils to celebrate the donation.

Store manager Trevor Henstridge said: “Tesco for Schools and Clubs is a scheme which my team is proud to be part of.”
