High demand for green ideas in Dorset

Twenty-five representatives from Dorset community groups recently attended a one-day Green Communities training seminar at the Dorford Centre in Dorchester.

The free event, sponsored by the energy Saving Trust, was organised by the Dorset Energy Group in response to demand from a number of local transition town and community-based sustainable energy groups. Trainer Louise Rutterford from Bristol said: “I provide this training all over the UK and the response from Dorset has been fantastic. All 25 places were booked within the first week of the training being advertised.”

Attendees were advised on how to set up community based insulation schemes and renewable energy projects.
