BUDDING Miss Worlds still have a few weeks left to enter this year’s Miss Dorset competition.

Entries have flooded in since the launch at the start of March but more are being invited, with the group of girls making it through to the semi-finals yet to be chosen.

Becky Chapman, from organisers Bellevue Promotions, said entrants who make it through will get the experience of auditioning for a live final at Banus nightclub in Weymouth.

She said: “It’s going really well and entries are coming in, so we are looking forward to a really good Dorset turnout.

“But there is lots of room for more entries ahead of the Banus stages.”

Those chosen as semi-finalists will be interviewed and photographed at Banus on Saturday, April 3.

After the semi-final the judges will decide who qualifies for the live final show back at Banus on Friday, May 21.

Finalists will then have up until the final to raise as much money from sponsorship as they can for the competition charity Weymouth Lifeboat.

The finalist who raises the most money will be crowned Miss Weymouth Lifeboat.

The winner of a Dorset Echo text vote will be crowned Miss Popularity and the judges will decide the new Miss Dorset.

Miss Dorset makes it through to the Miss England semi-final. And the Miss England winner gets to jet off for the Miss World contest in Vietnam.

Back in 2003 the Miss Dorset winner went on to become Miss England. Jackie Turner, from Poole, took the title and has continued with a modelling career.

All Miss Dorset finalists are being offered six months free membership at Curves health centre in Weymouth.

Entrants are required to send in two photographs – one head and shoulder and one full length – and give their name, height, occupation and address.

They should also include their email address and a telephone number.

Send entries with pictures attached as jpeg files to bellevueprom@aol.com with the subject ‘Miss Dorset 2010’.

Entries can be posted to Miss Dorset 2010, Bellevue Promotions, Freepost Nat6131, Newquay, TR7 1BF. Include a stamped addressed envelope to have pictures returned.

The deadline to enter is Wednesday, March 31.

Entry is free, but those who are chosen for the semi-finals will be asked to pay a £20 audition fee and will receive a photograph from the photoshoot.
