TEACHERS at a rural school have taken up a challenge to create inspiring science lessons.
Staff at Sticklands Primary School in Evershot have signed up to the Rolls-Royce Science challenge.
The Rolls-Royce Science Prize is aimed at teachers of pupils aged from three to 19 and will reward those who create inspiring science teaching proposals that address a specific need in their school or college.
In September 2004, 35,000 Rolls-Royce Science Prize information packs were sent to every school and college in the UK and the Republic of Ireland. Proposals have already started coming in and early feedback is suggesting that teams can submit an entry easily and quickly via the Rolls-Royce website.
Gwyneth Irvine, Science Co-ordinator for Sticklands Primary School, said: "We at Sticklands Primary School are proud to have strong teachers and pupils who are talented and interested in science."
