Collateral (15) Odeon, Regent (not Sun). Tom Cruise as a hitman hijacks a taxi driven by the unfulfilled Max (Jamie Foxx) as he sets out to execute a string of hits in one night. Great interplay between Cruise and Foxx, Michael Mann's superbly handled direction and a top drawer story make this the one to see at the moment. ****

CyberWorld 3D (U) IMAX. Entertaining novelty in which a spritely host takes us on a tour of CyberWorld, a museum of 3D exhibits including £d clips from The Simpsons and Antz. ***

Deep Blue (PG) Dorset Moviola, Buckland Newton (Fri only). Michael Gambon narrates the history of the oceans in impressive documentary. ***

Princess Diaries 2: The Royal Engagement (U) UCI, Odeon. See review.

Resident Evil: Apocalypse (15) UCI. Alice wakes up in Raccoon City, a city of the dead, and must escape Nemesis, the latest creation of Umbrella. Or some such nonsense that only video game-heads can comprehend. **

The Stepford Wives (12A) Odeon (Wed only), Dorset Moviola, Sturminster Newton (Sat only). Passable remake of classic 70s thriller in which the women of a small town are all too perfect to be true. Nicole Kidman, Glenn Close and Bette Midler star. ***

Two Brothers (U) Regent (from Mon), Dorset Moviola, Puddletown (Tues only). Two bear cubs are separated at birth, then reunited as adults when they are forced to fight each other. Guy Pearce heads the human cast. **

White Chicks (12A) UCI, ABC. Taste-defying boyish nonsense in which two black guys experience life as white women. It's not big, it isn't clever, it's certainly not PC, but it is pretty funny. ***

The Wild Thornberrys Movie (U) UCI (not Fri). Amusing enough kids' TV spin-off. ***
