GEOFF Butler has set his Weymouth side a target of four more wins to secure their Dr Martens Premier Division status.

And the first of that quartet of victories should come tonight when they entertain bottom of the table Ilkeston Town at the Wessex Stadium (7.45pm).

On paper it looks a forgone conclusion for the improving Terras, but Butler is warning his players against complacency.

He explained: "In my mind, any team that can pick up a total of 50 points or more won't be relegated this season. At the moment we've got 38 to our name and so four more wins will get us beyond that magical 50 mark.

"Looking at the fixtures we've got coming up, a home game against Ilkeston Town is one we should really win and I'd be very disappointed if we come away with anything less than maximum points.

"But we can take them lightly at our peril. They might be bottom of the table and some 15 points away from safety, but they'll be coming here prepared to scrap and fight for their lives."

He added: "They picked up a point at Dover on Saturday which is no mean achievement and so we'll be taking nothing for granted."

Having collected a valuable point with a threadbare side in a 2-2 draw at Moor Green on Saturday, Butler faces more selection worries ahead of this evening's encounter.

Again he's likely to be without David Laws, John Waldock, Toby Redwood and Matthew Hale, while there are fresh doubts surrounding the fitness of Steve Tully.

Michael Sajic is definitely missing because of a university interview and John Lamb could also be absent due to work commitments.

"It's a frustrating time right now," admitted Butler. "Just when we start turning the corner we are hit with a real injury and availability crisis.

"The worst of the lot is Matthew Hale who may not play again this season because there's a worry that his injured knee ligament has actually come away from the bone.

"John Waldock's back to square one with his thigh problem and he'll be out for at least three weeks and it's unlikely Toby Redwood and David Laws will have recovered from their knocks in time for tonight.

"Steve Tully took a whack on the knee at Moor Green and will have to have a fitness test and with Michael Sajic out and John Lamb doubtful, it may be that we'll only be able to name one substitute which is hardly ideal."

He added: "On top of all that we've lost Danny Bailey to Leyton Pennant and so to say we're down to the bare bones would be a bit of an understatement. All we can do is keep battling and make the most of what we've got and I know the players are determined not to let the good work of the last few weeks go to waste."

* Away wins last night for Cambridge City and Halesowen Town increased the pressure on the Terras to get three points tonight. City won 2-1 at Chelmsford while the third-from-bottom Yeltz pulled off a shock 3-0 victory at fifth-placed Dover.

* Dorset Youth play Somerset Youth in a South West Counties Championship game at St Mary's Field, Bridport tomorrow night, ko 7.45pm.
