THE Royal Bournemouth Hospital has been given the passport to a healthier future thanks to the fund-raising efforts of Christchurch Lions.
Following months of dedicated fund-raising the Lions were able to buy the hospital another essential, life-saving Health Passport Monitor worth £7,500.
This vital piece of equipment is used to monitor critically-ill patients and patients during routine anaesthesia.
The hospital's operations director, Dr David Dickson, said: "We are obviously very grateful to the Lions for raising a considerable amount of money to buy the monitor."
Lions' zone chairman, George Jeremiah, who was at the forefront of the fund-raising efforts, presented the monitor to Dr Dickson at a special handing over ceremony recently.
