STEP back in time on a spooky tour of Weymouth.

Both a daytime and evening walk will be on offer every Wednesday during the holiday led by Dave Allan who will help you to delve into the chilling past of the town.

He will be dressed in authentic costume to get all those present in the spooky spirit.

The daytime Discovery Tours will be from 10.30am-12.00pm or 2.00pm-3.30pm and the meeting point will be Weymouth’s Old Town Pump near The Old Rooms Inn. Those on the tour will learn about the Black Death, the Spanish Armada, the forgotten English Civil War battle and the Victorian Empire.

The Haunted Harbour Tour is promised to be far spookier.

During the evening walk, Mr Allan promises a frightful trail while he takes you from Weymouth’s Old Town Hall to Harbour Bridge.

There he will tell his followers about eerie historical events, from the plague to the murders that took place on the bridge, demonstrated by gravestones that will be visited in St Mary’s Church.

The evening tour will take place from 7pm-9pm and the meeting point will be at the Boot Inn.

Tickets can be bought on the day for £5 for adults and £2 for children under 16; under-fives go free.

Alternatively, tickets can be bought in advance at the Weymouth TIC.

Booking is advised. Call Mr Allan on 01305 855817 or 07771 824495.
