A MANHUNT has led to the arrest of a ‘dangerous man’ who went missing from a treatment centre in Weymouth.
Dorset Police warned people not to approach 31-year-old James Robertson Rennie who had been living in a Weymouth after being released from prison.
He served a nine-year prison sentence for burglary, attempted burglary and robbery, all against elderly people, before he was released on licence.
Dorset Police said Rennie left the treatment centre on Thursday afternoon and they began a nationwide hunt.
Officers said he was arrested at 4.30pm on Saturday at an address in Dorchester.
Police said the information leading to the arrest came from a member of the public responding to the appeals in the media.
