SPONSORS have thrown their weight behind the Open 4 Business extravaganza.

Long standing supporter Weymouth College is the main backer this year.

As the headline sponsor its name is attached to the overall Business of the Year title.

But it is also sponsoring the New Business award through its Enterprise Connection centres in Dorchester and Weymouth.

Sally Butters, head of marketing and communications, said: “Weymouth College is proud to be the main sponsor of Open 4 Business.

“The college’s graduates make up a skilled workforce across south and west Dorset whilst our work-based learning opportunities plug skills gaps in the region’s businesses.

“We hope that the achievements of those involved in this year’s Open 4 Business Festival will encourage other businesses in the region to invest in training and development to secure their future success.”

The college has been a firm supporter of Open 4 Business. Principal Sue Moore was among the guests at an Open 4 Business launch earlier in the summer.

The college will also be again hosting the awards dinner on October 7.

There is entertainment from performing arts students in the theatre before the awards ceremony.
