• THE next big do is on Friday, December 17th at 6.30 pm when we have our traditional Candlelit Carol Service – it is a magical start to Christmas proper. We follow that with Wassail & mince pies in the hall, and this year we will then retire to the yard of our local where the Salvation Army will lead us in MORE carols – let’s hope we have some good weather!
  • DO not forget when ordering online to first type in www.easyfundraising.org.uk , next log in with your email address and password and that you are raising money for Langton Herring Church & Village Hall – then click on the link provided to your chosen retailer & order as you normally do, the donation to funds is automatically added by the retailer. • THE Village Hall Christmas party was a splendid evening:we were greeted with a glass of hot punch, followed by a delicious meal, washed down with wine in the beautifully decorated hall, it was all very festive and 40+ villagers enjoyed themselves hugely.
  • DON’T forget to give Martin Fielding (871403) your ‘Village Christmas Card’ (6x7inches optimum) to display on the boards outside the Church, with your greetings to everyone and a donation to the Church. You can be artistic and make your own or cut up an old card – the notice board not only saves shoe leather - but lovely trees as well!
  • OUR Ragbag collection has been rewarded with a cheque for £88 and a certificate which I will put on the notice board, well done all who participated. We will do another one in the spring so NO throwing away till then (if you are desperate, I will store it for you).
