DAD-OF-TWO Simon Browne ran the marathon for Phab Kids.

The charity provides holidays and outdoor activities for disabled and disadvantaged children.

Mr Browne, 40, from Weymouth, ran the marathon in four hours, two minutes and 21 seconds.

He said: “It was hard work and it was very hot.

“I enjoyed the first 21 miles, but then after that it felt like I was going backwards for the last four or five miles.

“The arms and legs were moving but the scenery wasn’t.

“But it was a great day and the atmosphere was amazing.”

Simon was joined in London by his family and they went out after the marathon for a meal and a well-deserved beer for Simon.
