WYKE Regis runner Mary Wilkins ran for Children with Leukaemia.
She raised £1,000 for the charity and ran the 26.2 miles in four hours, 15 minutes and three seconds.
She said: “I went for it. I decided I wanted to push for it at the finish. It was really hot and I saw quite a lot of people on stretchers with St John Ambulance volunteers looking after them.
“It was hot but enjoyable, the crowds were really good.”
She added: “I was really happy with my time. Now I’m going to go back to the hotel and have something to eat and then I’m coming home and I’ll have a celebration with my family.”
