OUTDOOR education challenges and music inspired by the sounds of nature were among the activities on show as Sunninghill Prep School in Dorchester opened its doors to the public.

The school invited interested families to an open day, which saw plenty of action taking place inside and outside the school.

Activities included the younger children creating a willow sculpture and building their own bird feeders to hang from trees in the grounds.

Headmaster Andrew Roberts-Wray was delighted with the feedback from parents who had come to sample the Sunninghill experience.

He said: “Parents value the ethos of Sunninghill primarily as a family-orientated school, where every child is seen and treated as an individual, whatever their strengths and weaknesses.”

The school’s next open day is on May 14 for the whole school and for nursery and reception only on May 18. You can also book to visit the school by calling 01305 262306.
