*A yacht became ensnared on a fishing marker line 12 nautical miles west of Portland Bill. The the 34ft yacht Euxine had two people on board as it sailed from Plymouth to Portland and got caught up at 4.17am on Friday.

The RNLI lifeboat was launched and on arrival its crew launched their small inflatable to free the yacht from the line but the rope remained tangled around the boat's propeller and it had to be towed back to Portland Bill Coastguard Rescue Officer.

*The Coastguard helicopter was used to airlift the woman who fell down the cliff at Lulworth Cove off the beach. She was flown to Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester, where Wyke Regis Coastguards prepared the landing site.

*Officers were called to Weymouth Harbour after reports of people trying to swim close to the harbour entrance.

*In the evening, the coastguard received 999 calls about a jet ski which had run aground at Poole Harbour entrance without a rider. A broadcast was sent out by the coastguard and people on a nearby motor cruiser pulled the casualty aboard.

*Swanage Coastguard Rescue Officers were sent to a report of a jet ski rider driving dangerously off Studland, racing in and out of swimmers.

*Portland Coastguard received a large number of calls reporting that a jet ski was chasing a pod of dolphins in swanage.

*Coastguards also handled a large number of calls about jet skis and power boats chasing a pod of dolphins off Swanage.

*A five-year-old girl was reported missing on Weymouth Beach on Saturday morning but was found at the same time Wyke Regis Coastguard Rescue Officers were alerted.

*A beachgoer on Studland Beach was helped by Swanage coastguards and the Dorset Police Rigid Inflatable Boat crew after she had an allergic reaction to a painkiller and was assisted to an ambulance.

*Portland Coastguard had missing child alerts for an eight-year-old boy in the Beer area, who was found safe and well.
