THIS year many residents will have noticed that part of St Peter’s churchyard has been left mainly uncut to encourage wildlife and create a more natural environment, as part of the Living Churchyard Project run by Dorset Wildlife Trust.

I understand there are already a variety of wild flowers growing in the longer grass and even an orchid!

Bird boxes, bat boxes and insect hotels are planned together with a bench so people can sit and enjoy the surroundings.

If anyone can help by donating any of the above items please contact Liz Draper or Di Ludlow.
