WEYMOUTH’S Olympic windsurfer Nick Dempsey has announced that he and his wife Sarah are expecting their second child.
The Athens bronze medallist, who has been selected to represent Great Britain at the 2012 sailing events on home waters, said: “Sarah is 20 weeks pregnant and very happy.”
Double gold medallist Sarah Dempsey, nee Ayton, claimed victory in the Yngling keelboat event at the Beijing Games, with crewmates Sarah Webb and Pippa Wilson, and as crew to Shirley Robertson’s team at the Athens Games with Sarah Webb.
Sarah, 31, retired from sailing in February to spend more time with her son Thomas, now two.
The family, who live in Wyke Regis, are expecting their new arrival in March next year.
