CERNE ABBAS CERNE Abbas First School has some very special events to broadcast: The National Trust has permitted to put an Olympic Torch on the Cerne Giant, celebrating the coming Olympics.

The School’s idea at present is to create a torch out of children and adults, dressed in colours of fire.

It is hoped to link the possession of the Dorchester Area Schools Partnership Torch for three days in February 2012 to the above idea.

In addition to this much anticipated event, Abbey Class has a very special partnership to look forward to.

They will be playing with the Dorset Chamber Orchestra and Martin Clunes on Saturday, March 10 at 4pm in St. Mary’s Church, Dorchester.

They are proud to be part of a special children’s concert that day and the school is very pleased about this wonderful opportunity.

So mark this day in your diaries, more information will be printed here nearer the time.
