TOMORROW, Tuesday, 29 November at 7:30pm Artsreach will be presenting Fairgame Theatre’s Arabian Nights at Portesham village hall. This intriguing entertainment will bring the warmth and magic of ancient Arabia to our own lovely village! Through storytelling, music and dance, performers will transport you to exotic lands full of genies, flying carpets, magic lamps and mystery. This show will appeal to you all, so adults and children 5 years+, come and experience an exciting and magical performance!

Tickets are priced at £7.50 for adults, £6 for under 18’s and £25 per family and can be purchased from Gill Brignell on 01305 871925 or email gillbrignell@aol.co.uk. Tickets will also be on sale at the Tuesday village cafe between 10am and 12 noon.

THE grand unveiling of the King’s Arms Christmas decorations will take place on Thursday, 1 December when the local Chesil Scout group will be serving free mulled wine and mince pies from 6.30 to 7.30pm to help raise funds for their camping equipment. A box for donations will be situated on the bar.

The village and the pub have also agreed to jointly provide a Christmas tree and lights which will be situated in the centre of the beer garden for everyone to enjoy.

Bookings are now being taken for a special Christmas dinner menu from 1st to 24th December, lunchtime and evenings and the festive season kicks off on Saturday, 3 December with “Left, Right and Centre” performing.

More events are planned closer to Christmas with a ticket only event on New Year’s Eve. Details to follow later.

ALSO on Saturday, 3 December there will be a coffee morning in aid of the Children’s Society from 10am to 12.30 pm in the village hall. Tea, coffee, mince pies and bacon butties on offer!
