BECOMING a parent prompted one Weymouth business owner to give to those less fortunate.
Andrew Beaumont, of AJB Construction Solutions, has donated £100 to the Echo Christmas Toy Appeal for the second time.
He said: “We donated to the appeal last year because we had a little one of our own and we wanted other children to have a happy Christmas too.
“This year we have another new addition to the family.
“We know there are a lot of children out there less fortunate than ours.
“We wanted to give them a bit of happiness because every child deserves a merry Christ-mas. It’s a magical time for the little ones.”
Now in its 12th year, the Echo is hoping this year’s Christmas Toy Appeal will help more children than ever before.
Our toy bins have collected hundreds of generous donations from across the county.
Andrew added: “We want others to have as happy a time as we will and we hope this money will help that happen.”
