ARSONISTS torched and destroyed a caravan in Weymouth.
Firefighters were called to the incident at the side of the Marsh Dairy site on Littlemoor Road, Bincombe at 2.30am yesterday morning.
A spokeswoman for Dorset Fire and Rescue Service said one caravan was destroyed in the blaze while a second was damaged. She said the cause of the fire was believed to be deliberate. Both caravans were unoccupied and fire crews were able to put out the blaze by 3.20am, leaving the scene 10 minutes later.
The blaze left one side and the roof of one caravan completely collapsed while the other was left clearly damaged.
A Dorset Police spokesman said investigations were ongoing into what they believed was arson with malicious intent.
Mr Simpson, owner of the Marsh Diary site, was unavailable for comment. Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident to call 101 quoting 23.
