A VANDALISED charity van will soon be back on the road after a business stepped forward to pay the insurance excess.
Investment firm JP Morgan has donated £1,000 to cover the excess.
The van, a Volkswagen Caddy Maxi Life is used by disabled charity Access Dorset to transport members, and was vandalised by thugs outside the home of charity volunteer, Bob Biddiss, in Chesil View, Wyke Regis.
Jonathan Waddington-Jones, chief executive of the charity, said: “This vehicle is a lifeline to our disabled members and having to pay the insurance fee would have been a big hit for the charity.”
Repairs will cost estimated £2,000.
Cam Panelworks Poole LTD also offered to repair the damage for free.
Dorset Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact 101.
