• PEDESTRIANS From Swannery Car park – there will be walking routes to the sea front under Swannery Bridge and along Westham Road to the b-side festival, sea front and Nothe area. 150 ambassadors will be on hand to help along the routes and there will be signs.

• BUSES Normal bus services will be maintained and enhanced during the Games.

Number 1 service from Dorchester to Portland Bill will be enhanced with double-decker buses; X53 from the East – Poole to Weymouth- hourly service; X53 from the West – Exeter to Weymouth – hourly direct service; X43 from the East – Monkey World to Weymouth or Swanage to Weymouth – two-hourly service.

• COACHES There will be direct coaches from Weymouth to a variety of places including Birmingham, Gloucester, Cardiff, Exeter and Southampton. These will pick up and drop off at the Preston Beach Road park and stride site. There will be a pedestrian route into town.

• PARK AND RIDE There will be three sites open: Kingston Maurward in Dorchester, Monkey’s Jump near Martinstown and the Weymouth site.

• CYCLING There will be 500 bicycle spaces available split across Weymouth train station, Swannery hub, Westham Bridge, Pier Bandstand and The Nothe.

People can hire bikes from Brunswick Terrace and Westham Bridge. The Olympic Delivery Authority has paid for 40 permanent bike stands at Weymouth train station which will be a legacy.

• TRAINS There will be additional carriages on the Weymouth to London Waterloo line and on the Weymouth to Bristol line. There will also be a service connecting Weymouth to the Midlands every day.

• CARS Those who visit by car are advised to use the park and ride.

There will be short-stay car parks at Melcombe Regis car park – 112 spaces, and Harbourside car park – 86 spaces. These will be limited to 3 hours.

There will also be the multi-storey car park with 450 spaces.

Long-stay and overnight car parking will be at Lodmoor Country Park – 300 spaces.

• TAXIS Will be provided with ranks to allow them to function as normal.

• BLUE BADGE HOLDER ACCESS There will be dedicated blue badge parking available in Park Street car park. People will be able to use it to do their shopping and visitors will be able to catch and accessibility shuttle bus to the Nothe ticketed site.

DON’T miss out on a free Bring on the Games sticker with only 100 days to go.

So far 15,000 window stickers have been snapped up by people wanting to show their support for the event, and with just over three months to go before the Olympic Games storm the borough more have been released today.

A further 3,000 will be available from today from the Dorset Echo reception on the Granby Industrial Estate and a total of 10,000 more will be available in the run up to the Games.

The stickers are a joint partnership between the Dorset Echo, Weymouth and Portland Borough Council 2012 Operations Team and NHS Dorset’s Team Dorset Challenge.
