Election update: Lib Dem leader sees off challenge in Radipole
LIBERAL Democrat leader Ian Roebuck saw off a challenge from a former party member. Out-going mayor and former Lib Dem-turned Independent, Graham Winter took on his former party leader in Radipole ward.
Coun Roebuck held the seat with a majority of 346.
He said: “I’m pleased – in the sense that the people of Radipole are very loyal and I hope I give them cause to be.”
Mr Winter said he would perhaps consider standing for election again but would ‘wait and see’.
He said: “I’m a bit disappointed.”
