WEYMOUTH will soon welcome a pop-up shop in time for the Olympic Games.
Julia’s House children’s hospice is opening up a pop-up shop on St Mary’s Street in June to tide it over until its permanent shop opens on the same street two months later.
Marta Longmire, retail manager of Julia’s House, said: “We know that the town will be busy during the Olympics and really wanted to be open for business during this period.
“We hope to open on Saturday, June 2 and we will be selling the same great quality goods that we will be stocking in the permanent shop.”
The charity is appealing for donations of good condition clothes, books, bric-a-brac, toys and children’s goods.
Julia’s House is also looking for volunteers to work in the shop, no retail experience is needed and training will be given.
