WEYMOUTH Ladies have made the first signing for their 2012/13 season.
The South West League Premier Division side have added prolific striker Amy Wild, who returns to the Bob Lucas Stadium where she started her career.
The 21-year-old former Southamp-ton and Yeovil Town star put pen to paper on a year-long agreement and will be looking to show the form which has made her one of the very best players in the South of England.
A delighted Wild said: “I can’t wait for the season to start and return to playing my Football for Weymouth Ladies FC.
“Football has been a big part of my life over the past few years and the move to Weymouth has regained my passion for the sport.”
Weymouth manager Tim Davis said: “I am over the moon to secure the services of a fantastic striker like Wildy. She is top quality and is a real crowd-pleaser with electric pace.
“Hopefully she will be a good omen because when she played for Wey-mouth Ladies in her first spell as a 16-year-old we won the league and she scored an incredible 46 goals in just nine games.”
