A SIX-WICKET haul from Martinstown ace Danny Dancer booked a second round date with Frampton in the Dorchester Evening League Knockout Cup.
Dancer wreaked havoc against the Division Two outfit, returning impressive figures of 6-25 as Winfrith were skittled for 82.
Martinstown, who last lifted the trophy in 2009, had earlier posted 114-8, with Ed Nichols (41) leading the charge, so won by 32 runs.
Also in the cup, Puddletown Reserves reached the quarter-finals by narrowly disposing of Charlton Down Seconds.
Andy Crabb’s unbeaten 42 helped the former reach 107-4 from their allotted overs before Charlton Down’s chase fell short at 98-3.
There will be a new name on the trophy this year after 2010 and 2011 winners Herrison Youth withdrew from the league.
Winfrith atoned for their cup defeat by overcoming Frampton in league action.
After Ryan Norman top scored in their total of 93-6, Winfrith were indebted to Ben Baczala (5-8), whose superb fifer helped dismiss Frampton for only 48.
Meanwhile, in the third tier, Colliton Club (87-2) got the better of Charlton Down Seconds (86-6).
