Best be safe, the sea is wet.

We could make some flood defences out of old fairy lights and lamp posts.

Yes I know, excuse my Sarcasm but given all the money that has been pee'd away in this town on utter nonsense, the least they can do is have some nice Axis, Mobotix or Oracle cams to show us off..not these ridiculous javascript fossils.

Yet another lack of thinking by the council....and i know they have been offered things for FREE to correct but it I guess that does not compute in the world of brown envelopes and public art excuses to funnel money to the chosen few, not to benefit the many.
I agree. I'd love to see new high quality webcams.

What they spent on a sandcastle recently just to knock it down would provide 3 HQ cams running real time in H264 ( network depending) from feeds by Axis (like the 214 or 215 series/Panasonics and mobotix and would make this town look great. So simple.

If you google around there are countries like Thailand, Indonesia and such with far less money that put us to shame..not just in cams either ;-)

SCANDAL...SHOCK ...HORROR!"!

Seriously, the Chief (positive discrimination) editor is away on (why you shouldn't invest in a western woman) leave , meanwhile the next generation of Ipod photographers and El Salvador editors are probably on strike,

Meanwhile everything is great..Because we all got to think positive..right?

Ian King, get a life FFS and stop polluting every single story with your attempts at humorous "intellectual" criticism. Just because you are free to make your comments doesn't mean you are obliged to. Its hard enough finding readable news on this site without having to read your inane garbage as well.

Actually I find some of his comments bang on the money if a bit "near the mark" . Nobody forces you to read them let alone hypocritically contribute an "inane" comment yourself? I think the Echo's censorship as well as dreadful quality is the real issue you should concern yourself with, something you also acknowledge I see.

Thanks for that, but my comment was not aimed at you....

It's the 'Coastguard' who are planning the strikes, the Lifeboat is voluntary and doesn't strike

Get the council to build a multi-million sea-wall. The ratepayers have plenty of money and there are brown envelopes to be filled . . .
