POLICE are warning drivers to take extra care after 50 reports of fallen trees and branches in Dorset since 7pm last night.
A tree which has fallen down on Preston Road in Overcombe, is causing slow moving traffic, with one lane cordoned off while it is being cleared away.
Telephone cables were also reported to be blowing in high winds on Buxton Road, Weymouth.
A Dorset Police spokesman said motorists should pay full attention to roads at all times, drive according to road conditions and show consideration to other drivers.
