DONKEYS from Weymouth Beach will be trotting up to Charminster for the annual village fete.
The beach donkeys will be a new addition at this year’s event at Charminster House on Saturday, July 23.
Falconry expert Bob Dalton, who wowed guests at last year’s event, will also return to display his birds of prey and the popular woodlice racing will again take centre stage.
There will be a range of other activities running from 2pm until 5pm while the local WI will be offering tea and cakes. There will also be a hog roast and beer tent as well as a host of stalls.
Music will be provided by the Durnovaria Silver Band and there will be dance performances from local group Hot Steps and the Charminster Scottish Dancers.
Over in the village church on the day there will be a display of drawings from youngsters from Charminster First School and church tower tours will be available for just £1.
