A WOMAN is being urged to come forward after her car was involved in a collision with a cyclist in Dorchester.
Police said the woman, who was driving a silver-grey car with a sliding door, stopped to help the cyclist and took him to hospital following an incident in Damers Road on Wednesday afternoon.
The cyclist did not think he was badly hurt and did not take the driver's details.
Contrary to initial assessment, it has now become clear that the cyclist, a 59-year-old man from Dorchester, sustained a serious elbow injury.
Police would now like the driver and any witnesses to come forward.
Call Dorset Police on 101 quoting incident number 13:283.
