I wonder what the visiting sailing teams thought as they crossed Ferrybridge recently – I am referring to the remnants of the wind sock fluttering forlornly in the wind.
I do hope that a new one can be fitted for the forthcoming events.
Perhaps it would be an opportunity for a local firm to sponsor it.
As far back as I can remember there has always been a windsock on the bridge and when a motor cycle or high sided vehicle was approaching it gives an idea of the wind velocity.
