Drink drive arrests up in Dorset
11:12am Friday 6th July 2012 in News
MORE drivers have been arrested in this summer's drink and drug driving campaign, Dorset Police say.
Figures reveal that 100 drivers were arrested between June 1 - June 30. Last year there were 88 arrests in the same period.
The figures also show the vast majority of drink drivers on Dorset’s roads are men – with 80 of the 100 people arrested during the campaign being male drivers.
Chief Inspector Matt Butler, Head of Dorset Police’s Traffic Unit, said: “It is really disappointing to see that drink drive arrests have increased for the second summer running."

100 people out of how many tested? 88 last year out of how many? Testing more people will always result in a higher result, it doesn't necessarily mean that the number of people drink-driving has actually increased.
This isn't news, this is an attempt at sensationalism!

This is shocking, hopefully the police do more testing and maybe catch out more idiots who drink and drive.
