Young people in Dorset invited to take on farming challenge
3:00pm Friday 6th July 2012 in News
YOUNG people in Dorset aged between 18 and 25 are being invited to take on farming’s toughest challenge to win £10,000.
If your dream job involves wearing wellies to work every day, Farmers Weekly’s Farmer’s Apprentice, sponsored by McDonald’s, could be your lucky break.
There is £10,000 up for grabs for one lucky young farming wannabe to help kick-start a career in agriculture.
Applicants need to come up with a 60-second video showing what makes them ‘stand out from the herd’.
Ten ‘apprentices’ will be chosen to fight it out at a bootcamp in October and will have to prove they have got skills to be a successful farmer.
