POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a woman died following a three-vehicle collision in Wareham.
The crash happened on Thursday, June 28, at around 12.30pm on the A352 Worgret Hill at the junction with Puddletown Road.
Police believed no one was seriously hurt in the collision, but a 74-year-old woman from Cornwall, who was a passenger in one of the cars involved, later died after being admitted to the Royal Cornwall Hospital.
The cars involved in the crash were a silver Vauxhall Astra, being driven by a 74-year-old woman from Surrey, a blue Nissan X-Trail, being driven by a 74-year-old man from Cornwall and a white heavy goods vehicle being driven by a Yeovil man.
Police constable Andy Gold, of Weymouth Traffic Police, said: "Police are investigating the circumstances of the collision.
"I would ask anyone who has information about this incident, or who witnessed the collision, to call 101."
