Schoolboy, six, joins campaign to save the Portland Coastguard Helicopter

A SIX-year-old schoolboy has made a leaflet encouraging people to sign a petition to save the coastguard helicopter.

Matthew Mew, from Poundbury, made the poster after hearing his dad Ian talking about the proposed closure of the helicopter base on Portland.

Dr Mew, who works at Dorset County Hospital, said his son's message is: "If the helicopter is taken away, people will die."
