LANDSLIDE: Rescuers search for woman
RESCUERS are searching into the night for a woman buried under a landslide at Freshwater, near Burton Bradstock.
The 23 year old was trapped under 400 tonnes of mud and rock when a cliff collapsed at noon today.
The major rescue operation has been underway all afternoon and is continuing into the evening.
Witnesses watched in horror as there were a series of landslides on the stretch of coast before the woman was buried.
Police, firefighters, paramedics, coastguards and specialist rescue teams are involved in the search.
The woman was believed to be walking along the beach with her family when the disaster happened.
