FRESH from their inaugural performance at Sidmouth Folk Festival, State of Undress are one of the fabulous bands opening Bridport’s Festival of Culture on August 11.
The Best of the West, which is being held at Bridport Arts centre, is an eclectic evening of music. Performers include DJ Crumpet, The Good Dancers, Lucy 9mm, The Dinnerladies and State of Undress, who will play an hour of infectious, fiddle-powered feisty and fun original music.
Roy Gregory, of Vinyl Saturday and one of the organisers of the Festival of Culture and the Best of the West event, said: “We are really delighted that these artists are playing and supporting the Festival of Culture.
“Best of the West is a great showcase of some of the diverse musical talent that exists in this area and it’s a brilliant opportunity to catch them all in one venue.”
Best of the West, part of Bridport’s Festival of Culture, is on August 11 at 7pm at Bridport Arts Centre. Tickets are £9 each or two for £15.00, from 01308 424204.
