BRIDE Valley Archers were hot-shots at the Bournemouth Blue Lion Tournament. County record scores were achieved by Hannah Corfield (longbow), Jason Larcombe (longbow) and William Bilbe-Smith (barebow).
Corfield and Reuben Kingston also won the overall longbow team trophy ahead of the bowmen of Lytchett and Bournemouth Archery Club.
Twelve juniors from the club competed, shooting Windsor rounds (36 arrows at each of three distances), with it being the first competition for nine of them.

Daniel Wilkinson and Kingston have also competed in the English Field Archery Championships in Somerset. Both shot well to claim under-12 titles in barebow and longbow respectively.
Kingston also travelled to Pentref in Wales for the UK Junior Field Archery Championships, where he successfully retained his under-12 longbow title. He was also a member of the England team who finished second to Northern Ireland in the Home Nations international.
The next major event for the club will be the Dorset & Wilts County Championships at Devizes on August 25-26.
