Men airlifted from Nothe after fall on rocks

TWO elderly men were airlifted to hospital after falling on rocks at the Nothe in Weymouth.


Rescuers were alerted to the area this afternoon after one man suffered a head injury and the other hurt his leg.

It happened on rocks below the Nothe Fort outside the official Olympic sailing viewing area in the gardens. 

The coastguard helicopter, a lifeboat, police units and coastguard ground teams all attended.
