CROWDS have been flocking to enjoy a packed weekend of entertainment at the Dorset County Show.

Sunshine ensured bumper crowds on Saturday and organisers are hoping the celebration of the county’s agriculture could enjoy a record breaking year.

Headlining this year’s event was Scott May and his Daredevil Stunt Show, who provided a car crushing display of petrol-fuelled fun in the main arena.

The show also had a sporting theme to tie in with the Olympic year, with events like parkour, or free running, gymnastics and extreme mountain biking from the Zero Gravity team.

Rob Doney, from Zero Gravity, said they had been impressed with the turn out for their show and the scale of the event.

He said: “It's been really good, there's been lots of kids watching and they all loved it.

“I was really surprised to see how big the show was when we turned up this morning, it's really good.”

Inspector Les Fry of Dorchester Police said there had been a significant amount of congestion on around the showground but police and show organisers had done all they can to limit the tailbacks and improve the situation.
